Nateen, manufacturer of absorbent care since 2009

Our story

Nateen's story starts in Belgium, well before 2009. Its founder, Alexandre Nemesnepi Aliter Kósa, built a care group for older people there: medical accommodation, urgent and non-urgent medical transport, support services. His end-of-studies thesis in neuro-geriatrics — akinesia in people with Parkinson's disease — had already put him face to face with daily dependence.

In the field, one observation kept coming back: the protections available made people put up with incontinence rather than live well with it. From that came the idea of a range designed to improve the quality of life of incontinent people and of those who care for them.

In 2009 the idea became a brand and a factory: Nateen, made in Quanzhou, China, at Dashan Paper — first for hospitals and care homes, soon for families who asked for the same quality at home.

Over the years the range grew — pull-on underwear, underpads, inserts and bladder pads, maternity, baby — always with the same rule: high-grade superabsorbent, generous basis weights, real absorption figures published, and a price that stays fair because we manufacture ourselves.

Today Nateen has three factories (China, Central Europe, United States), a Middle East warehouse in Dubai, a Latin America base in São Paulo and Asia-Pacific offices in Singapore. More than half of the world's population lives within a day's drive of a Nateen site or in one of its logistics zones.
